Sunrise Waldorf School is accepting teacher applications for a Grade 7 class starting January 6th, 2025. This is a term position, ending June 2026, with a possibility for extension.  

 

Established in 1980, the beautiful seven-acre Sunrise campus is in the Cowichan Valley, near Duncan BC. Sunrise is a full AWSNA member school and a Group One independent school under the BC Ministry of Education with a mission to educate and inspire students to reach their full potential through a rich and artistic Waldorf curriculum.    

 

The ideal candidate will have a B.Ed., B.C. Teaching Certificate, Waldorf teacher training and have teaching experience in a Waldorf school. Sunrise seeks an organized, caring, and dynamic educator with positive classroom and behaviour management practices and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Sunrise is looking for a collegial team member who enjoys working with others to create a positive and collaborative school environment; and, who has attributes such as integrity, kindness, empathy, and adaptability. • Regular professional development  

• Participation in festivals, recitals, and field trips

Annual Salary Range: $45,760 to $72,800 depending on qualifications and experience.
